Head of Accounting (m/f/d)

Brief Description

• Lead and develop the finance and accounting team of six colleagues based in two locations in Germany
• Manage and oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB
• Set team priorities and ensure deadlines are met
• Work closely with two financial controllers overseeing financial operations in Germany and Austria
• Maintain strong financial controls, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous process improvement 

Technical Requirements

• University degree in Finance, Accounting or related
• 10+ years of experience in finance and accounting in Germany
• At least 3 years of people management experience
• Excellent knowledge of the HGB
• Tax and basic insurance-related knowledge
• Excellent German and proficient English language skills (spoken and written)
