In order to expand our Finance team in Germany, we are looking for a motivated
Head of Accounting (m/f/d)
as soon as possible.
Brief Description
- Lead and develop the finance and accounting team of six colleagues based in two locations in Germany
- Manage and oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB
- Set team priorities and ensure deadlines are met
- Work closely with two financial controllers overseeing financial operations in Germany and Austria
- Maintain strong financial controls, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous process improvement
Technical Requirements
- University degree in Finance, Accounting or related
- 10+ years of experience in finance and accounting in Germany
- At least 3 years of people management experience
- Excellent knowledge of the HGB
- Tax and basic insurance-related knowledge
- Excellent German and proficient English language skills (spoken and written)
